The reliability of realistic simulations of hydraulic systems depends on how accurate are the predictions of flow, pressure head and frequencies, by numerical models. A major cause of this modeling error lies in the use of quasi-steady friction equation which is only valid for steady flows. This research will compare results obtained of two computing models and physic model applying the elastic method to promote a systematic analysis of efficiency and accuracy made by friction equation uses, which incorporates rate dependent velocity, shear and compressibility effects within a single, generalized framework.
