    El análisis de un nuevo documento del Monasterio de las Descalzas Reales, y su relación con otros tantos de diversas procedencias nos aporta una gran cantidad de información hasta ahora desconocida. Por un lado, se refuta la leyenda de que Tomás Luis de Victoria fuera maestro de capilla de la institución, ya que aparecen los maestros que ocuparon el puesto durante la estancia del compositor avulense. Por otro lado, los dos meticulosos inventarios de los libros de música que completan el documento, ofrecen información del repertorio interpretado en esta Real Capilla, además del paradero y origen de muchos de los volúmenes. Finalmente, se ofrecen los documentos que señalan las obligaciones musicales de los asalariados del convento, y las ocasiones en las que eran requeridos.

    The analysis of a new document of the Convent of Las Descalzas Reales and its relationship with many others coming from a variety of origins brings about a high amount of information that was kept unknown. On the one hand, the legend suggesting that Tomás Luis de Victoria, born in Avila, was Chapel Master of the institution is refuted due to the presence in the document of the names of the Chapel Masters that held such position during the stay of the composer. On the other hand, the two detailed inventories of the books of music that are part of the document display information about the repertoire performed in this Real Chapel and the location and origin of many of the volumes. Finally, there can be appreciated the documents that state the musical obligations of the employees of the Convent and the occasions when they were required.
