Tinea capitis is caused by dermatophyte fungi with high affinity for keratinized structures of the skin and its appendages. Although It is a frequent pathology, Celsi Kerion is a rare inflammatory ringworm with severe consequences since it deeply invades the hair follicle causing a host’s hyperreaction. We report the clinical case of a 6-year-old boy with an inflammatory dermatophytosis with a torpid evolution. Despite the easy eradication of the fungus, it had a slow clinical cure due to the complicated management of the topical treatment. Our patient currently shows a permanent alopecic plaque, together with the aesthetic and psychological complications to consider in the future.
