  • Aristotle's concept of pleasure permeates the RHETORIC. This article examines the concept as treated in NICOMACHEAN ETHICS and the RHETORIC, and suggests its relationship to the types and ends of oratory and the emotions. Especially important is the relationship between pleasure and forensic oratory.
