El cuento como estrategia didáctica en niños de educación inicial

    Lo que vivencien los niños y las niñas en sus primeros años de vida escolar tendrá una influencia permanente a lo largo de ella, y sobre todo en su proceso de aprendizaje. Por consiguiente, las estrategias que se implementen para ello, deben promover apren dizajes altamente significativos. A razón de lo planteado, se presenta el siguiente articulo cuyo propósito se enmarcó en describir al cuento y las ventajas de su uso como estrategia didáctica en niñas y niños de Educación Inicial. Para ello, se siguió una metodología que permitió el desarrollo de la investigación a nivel descriptivo, de tipo documental - bibliográfico. Como conclusion, se establece que el cuento se constituye en una estrategia de alto valor didáctico para la educación inicial, pues aparte de entretener y motivar a los infantes, les facilita recursos como lectores, dándole la posibilidad de ir construyendo sus conocimientos.

    What children experience in their first years at school will have a permanent influence throughout their school life, and especially in their learning process. Therefore, the strategies implemented for this purpose should promote highly significan t learning. In view of the above, the following article is presented with the purpose of describing the story and the advantages of its use as a didactic strategy for children in early childhood education. For this purpose, a methodology that allowed the d evelopment of the research at a descriptive, documentary - bibliographic level was followed. As a conclusion, it is established that the story is a strategy of high didactic value for early education, since besides entertaining and motivating infants, it pro vides them with resources as readers, giving them the possibility of building their knowledge.
