    El estudio se realizó con el objetivo de describir las creencias y actitudes de docentes respecto a la vacuna contra el virus del papiloma humano en una Escuela Pública de San Lorenzo. Investigación cualitativa, de diseño observacional descriptivo; la muestra estuvo representada por 10 docentes el cuarto al sexto grado, cuyas alumnas estaban en la edad de vacunación. Se realizaron entrevistas semi estructuradas a los docentes, como instrumento se utilizó una guía de preguntas abiertas elaboradas en base a las categorías de análisis: datos socio demográficos, creencias de los docentes hacia la vacuna VPH y actitudes de los docentes hacia la vacuna VPH. Los resultados reflejan que los docentes de la Escuela Pública de San Lorenzo experimentan sentimientos de incertidumbre hacia la vacuna contra el virus del papiloma humano VPH debido a la falta de información y sensibilización hacia la vacuna contra el VPH. Manifiestan creencias y actitudes de temor hacia posibles efectos que puede llegar a producir en las niñas lo que podría llevar a un rechazo hacia la vacuna en las instituciones educativas.

    The study was carried out with the objective of describing the teachers’ beliefs and attitudes regarding the vaccine against human papillomavirus in a public school, San Lorenzo Paraguay 2016. This research is qualitative, observational design, descriptive in scope and grounded theory in the data; The sample was represented by 10 teachers whose students comprised the vaccination cohort from the fourth to the sixth grade. The study area covered the Public School of San Lorenzo, a semi structured interview was conducted to teachers, as an instrument was used an open question guide based on the categories of analysis: socio-demographic data, teachers’ beliefs towards the vaccine HPV and teacher attitudes toward HPV vaccine. The results reflect that teachers at the San Lorenzo Public School experience feelings of uncertainty about the human papillomavirus HPV vaccine because of the lack of information and awareness of the HPV vaccine. They express beliefs and attitudes of fear towards possible effects that may occur in girls which could lead to a rejection of the biological in educational institutions.
