El fenómeno turístico en el código ético mundial para el turismo

    La primera codificación internacional del derecho turístico tomó la forma de la Carta del Turismo y del Código del Turista, creados por la Organización Mundial del Turismo en 1985, y ratificó la emergencia de esa rama de derecho. La segunda codificación consiste en el Código Ético Mundial para el Turismo, que entró en vigor en 1999 y contribuyó al carácter autónomo del derecho turístico. Ese texto hizo uso de términos inexistentes en los textos precitados, como ‘’industria turística’’, ‘’sostenibilidad’’ y ‘’’museos’’, y eliminó aspectos del fenómeno turístico, como la ‘’imagen turística’’ del destino y la ‘’conciencia turística’’ de los ciudadanos. Es más, la Convención marco sobre ética del turismo, adoptada en 2019, recomienda de manera distinguida la ’’remodelación’’ de los museos.

    The first international codification of tourism law took the form of the Tourism Bill of Rights and the Tourist Code, created by the World Tourism Organization in 1985, and ratified the emergence of that branch of law. The second codification consists of the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism, which came into force in 1999 and contributed to the autonomous character of tourism law. This text made use of terms that did not exist in the aforementioned texts, such as ‘’tourism industry’’, ‘’sustainability’’ and ‘’museums’’, and eliminated aspects of the tourism phenomenon, such as the ‘’tourist image’’ of the destination and the citizens’ ‘’tourism consciousness’’. Furthermore, the Framework Convention on Tourism Ethics, adopted in 2019, strongly recommends the “upgrading” of museums.
