El terrorismo que ETA desplegó a lo largo de sus más de cinco décadas de historia, ha golpeado al conjunto nacional español en fases cruciales para su pasado más reciente, con una intensidad variable en función de la/s fecha/s y el territorio en el que se centre la óptica investigadora. Conociendo esta realidad, el año 2000 marca un antes y un después para la organización terrorista y su acción violenta, encontrando en Andalucía su espacio de actuación fuera del País Vasco preferencial, con implicaciones de gran importancia para comprender la situación en la que se encuentra ETA desde 1995 y los acontecimientos posteriores que se suceden hasta 2011 cuando anuncia el fin de la lucha armada.
The terrorism that ETA deployed throughout its more than five decades of history, has struck Spain as a whole at crucial stages in its most recent past, with varying intensity depending on the date/s and the territory on which the research focuses. Knowing this reality, the year 2000 marks a before and after for the terrorist organization and its violent action, finding in Andalusia its preferred area of action outside the Basque Country, with implications of great importance for understanding the situation in which ETA has found itself since 1995 and the subsequent events that followed until 2011 when it announced the end of the armed struggle.
