  Tras la Contienda Civil y la victoria de los sublevados contra la II República, el Estado surgido intentaría imponer sus valores tradicionales, sobre todo a las mujeres, contando para ello con los programas de la Sección Femenina (SF), formación que, si bien se integraba en el Estado franquista, no se parecía en absoluto a ninguna otra sección del Movimiento, tanto por su estilo de vida independiente, impensable para el resto del colectivo femenino de la época, como por su forma de entender la religiosidad  que, aun siendo tradicional, la manera participativa en la misma fomentaba un incipiente espíritu crítico anticipándose al Concilio Vaticano II , así como a los cambios que más tarde acaecerían, presentando una cierta ``modernidad´´ tampoco nada usual en esta coyuntura

  After the Civil War and the victory of the rebels against the Second Republic, the newly emerged State tried to impose its traditional values, especially on women, relying on the programs of the Female Section (SF). Although integrated into the Francoist State, SF differed greatly from any other section of the Movement, both in terms of its independent lifestyle, unthinkable for the rest of the female population at the time, and in its understanding of religiosity. While being traditional, SF encouraged a participatory approach to religion that fostered an incipient critical spirit, anticipating the Second Vatican Council and the changes that would later occur, presenting a certain "modernity" that was not common in this context
