    Se describe y analiza los componentes identificados como importantes en la construcción de un "soporte para la toma de decisiones" para el fortalecimiento de políticas locales, en torno al agua urbana y su saneamiento. Estos componentes se refieren a: a) formación de recursos humanos en la temática, b) contenidos e Instrumentos  para  la  recolección  de información, c)  repositorio  de  información, d) visualización planimétrica de la información e) vinculación académica a redes temáticas e iniciativas de transferencia tecnológica. El objetivo del artículo es presentar estos componentes sintéticamente destacándolos como innovación desde el sistema científico tecnológico provincial hacia un municipio En su conjunto, los mismos pretenden objetivos de sostenibilidad para el ciclo urbano del agua, estudiado y ejemplificado tomando como referencia la ciudad de Crespo, provincia de Entre Ríos.

    Described and analysed here are the components identified in the construction of a "support for decision making'' for the strengthening of local politics centred on urban water and sanitation.

    These components are: a) Formation of the necessary human resources, b) Contents and instruments for the collection of information, c) Storing of information, d) Cartographic visualisation of information, e) Academic links to networks on this issue and initiatives on technological transference. The objective of the articleis the presentation of these components synthetically, taking the innovative in the provincial scientific technological system and putting it to use in a determined municipality. Taken together, these sustainability-related objectives for the urban water cycle have been studied and exemplified taking as a reference the City of Crespo in the Province of Entre Ríos in Argentina.
