El fin de este trabajo es el análisis de la situación laboral de la mujer extranjera en España. Pone de manifiesto las deficiencias y los avances en la normativa legal. También aborda la situación de las trabajadoras del hogar y cómo está incidiendo la actual normativa en las relaciones laborales en el sector doméstico, sus beneficios, insuficiencias y, lo que es más importante aún, su impacto en la vida laboral de las mujeres extranjeras. Tradicionalmente, han sido los hombres quienes han llevado a cabo la mayoría de los movimientos migratorios. Sin embargo, en las últimas décadas es cuando este fenómeno social se ha visto feminizado. Han sido las mujeres las protagonistas de las nuevas migraciones. Han iniciado su aventura en búsqueda de nuevas oportunidades de manera autónoma. Las trabajadoras extranjeras en España son uno de los colectivos que se encuentra ampliamente discriminado y, asimismo, está afectado por la brecha salarial. Según los datos oficialmente publicados se puede afirmar que la mayoría de las mujeres inmigrantes ven como puerta de acceso al mundo laboral el sector del empleo doméstico, en el que sus condiciones laborales son precarias, con salarios muy por debajo del salario mínimo interprofesional y escasa protección social.

The purpose of this work is the analysis of the employment situation of foreign women in Spain. It highlights the deficiencies and advances in legal regulations. It also addresses the situation of domestic workers and how the current regulations are affecting labor relations in the domestic sector, its benefits, shortcomings and, what is even more important its impact on the working life of foreign women. Traditionally, it has been men who have carried out most of the migratory movements. However, in recent decades is when this social phenomenon has been feminized. Women have been the protagonists of the new migrations. They have started their adventure in search of new opportunities autonomously. Foreign female workers in Spain are one of the groups that is widely discriminated against and, likewise, is affected by the wage gap. According to officially published data, it can be affirmed that the majority of immigrant women see the domestic employment sector as the gateway to the world of work, where their working conditions are precarious, with wages well below the minimum interprofessional wage and little social protection.
