    Este trabajo analiza las razones que explican que una innovación técnica. la trilladora mecánica que es diseñada para la gran explotación en el siglo XIX, pueda difundirse con éxito en las agriculturas europeas dominadas por la pequeña explotación. Se evalúan los obstáculos que frenan su adopción y el modo en que son superados entre 1900 y 1936 en una agricultura como la de Galicia, caracterizada por la especialización ganadera y una difusión de esta Innovación más intensa que en la España cerealista La práctica de la innovación colectiva es el instrumento Idóneo para superar los obstáculos a su adopción. Y demuestra la capacidad de adopción al mercado de los pequeños productores, que en el mismo período se convierten en propietarios desplazando al rentista y articulan un complejo tejido asociativo. Para analizar esta selección de ínnovaciones en la agrícultura contemporánea se establecen nuevos criterios y consideraciones que tienen en cuenta las condiciones institucionales y al sujeto innovador.

    This article analyses the reasons that explain that a technological innovation, the threshing machine. deslgned for the XIX Century great farms in speclalized agriculture can be diffused in European agriculture dominated by small farms and plural production. It evaluates the handicaps that paralyzed its adoption and how these were overcome, and checks how the diffuslon of this innovation. more intensive in Gallcian agriculture between 1900-1936 than in the Spain of the cereal, is possible. The icollective innovationi is the way to avoid those handlcaps and, also, show the capability of adaptatlon to the market by the small farmers, who reached the propriety pushing the rentier and organizing an agrarian association net at the same time. In this analysis the author introduces new criteria and considerations taking into account the institutional conditions and the innovating subject
