    Los colapsos económicos o de otro tipo a escala global, que resulten irremediables y, por tanto, acerquen a la humanidad a su extinción, pueden originar un statu quo salvaje y anómico en apariencia, pero no necesariamente la ausencia total del derecho. En este texto se explicará cómo en The Rover(2014), película que imagina el comportamiento humano en un escenario casi apocalíptico, se advierten estructuras propias de un Estado más o menos funcional, lo cual implica la existencia de normas cuyo cumplimiento puede ser coactivo, así como la tendencia a hacerse justicia por propia mano, conducta prohibida por el artículo 17 de la Constitución federal de México.

    Economic or other types of collapse on a global scale, which can’t be fixed and therefore bring humanity closer to extinction, can give rise to an apparently savage and anomic status quo, but not neces-sarily the complete absence of law. This text will explain how in The Rover (2014), a film that imagines human behavior in an almost apocalyptic scenario, characteristics of a more or less functional State can be observed, which implies the existence of rules that can be enforced, as well as the tendency to take justice into one’s own hand, which is prohibited by article 17 of the Constitution of Mexico
