    Tal y como contamos en el anterior número, tanto el Supervisor Europeo de Protección de Datos (SEPD) como el Comité Europeo de Protección de Datos (CEPD), no tuvieron, precisamente, vacaciones estivales. El creciente desarrollo tecnológico y legislativo requieren de respuestas eficientes, rápidas pero meditadas y de medidas efectivas y contundentes. Ya sea el próximo Reglamento sobre Inteligencia Artificial, la protección de la infancia o el uso de datos personales por parte de los proveedores de redes sociales, el SEPD y el CEPD han continuado su trabajo para asegurar que los derechos y libertades de los individuos y, en particular, su derecho a la protección de sus datos personales, sigan estando en el centro de las acciones legislativas y de cumplimiento normativo.

    As we reported in the previous issue, both the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) and the European Data Protection Board (EDPC) did not exactly have a summer vacation. The growing technological and legislative developments require efficient, quick but thoughtful responses and effective and forceful measures. Whether it is the forthcoming regulation on Artificial Intelligence, child protection or the use of personal data by social network providers, the EDPS and the EDPC have continued their work to ensure that the rights and freedoms of individuals, and in particular their right to the protection of their personal data, remain at the heart of legislative and enforcement actions.
