    Estas páginas proponen entender por qué el libro Política sexual, de la estadounidense Kate Millett, se convirtió en un best seller a inicios de la década de 1970, así como los procesos socioculturales que permitieron su difusión y recepción en Argentina. Desde el marco interpre-tativo de la historia de lo impreso se hace énfasis en su dimensión material, dando cuenta del modo en que los soportes pudieron haber influido sobre las maneras en que fue leído. El pro-pósito es hacer una primera contribución al estudio de su circulación en América Latina a fin de comprender de maneras más integrales las historias del feminismo y los movimientos ho-mosexuales de la región.

    This paper seeks to understand why the book Sexual Politics, written by the United States author Kate Millett, became a bestseller in the early 1970s, as well as the sociocultural processes that allowed its dissemination and reception in Argentina. From the interpretative framework of the history of print, emphasis is placed on its material dimension, accounting for the way in which the forms of this book influenced reading practices. The purpose is to make a first contribution to the study of its circulation in Latin America in order to understand, in a more comprehensive way, the histories of feminism and homosexual movements in the region.
