This text discuss about the publications signed by Rollie E. Poppino (1922-2010), in HAHR – Hispanic American Historical Review. Poppino was a historian and he researched Brazil and carried out studies on the interior of the country, the hinterlands and social traditions and throughout the 1950sand 1960s, carried out research on Latin America in the State Department’s investigation services. At the same time, he continued to participate in circuits for the academic dissemination of the History of Brazil, in specialized journals. We tried to assess how these publications were integrated with the themes of US diplomacy, dealing, among other themes, with Marxism and communism, development, modernization and the interpretation of dictatorships. The documents are accessed the journal itself, through research portals and we founded the texts that make up his trajectory as a historian of Brazil. Intellectual History and the approach to his contact networks were interspersed with notes on biography, readings he carried out, publications, relationships and exchanges that took place during his career.
