Resumen de Sujeto nulo obligado en español europeo: Pro anafórico y pro deíctico

Entre los discutibles argumentos relativos al asunto relacionado con la expresión y la ausencia del sujeto en español sobresale la escasa atención prestada a la forzosa presencia de un sujeto tácito referencial en ciertos casos. Este hecho, además de cuestionar la clasificación del español como lengua pro-drop, requiere de un estudio profundo que permita entender los factores involucrados. Con este objetivo, proponemos una hipótesis que permita sistematizar las razones que provocan la imposibilidad de expresar el sujeto en todas las variedades de nuestra lengua y la posible existencia de un pro referencial en aquellas lenguas que, en teoría, reclaman la realización fonética de este constituyente. Además, en este trabajo se tratan algunas estructuras propias del español antillano y de otras zonas del Caribe que ayudan a entender por qué la realización del sujeto es más frecuente en esta zona dialectal.

Among the debatable arguments regarding the issue related to subject expression and absence in Spanish, the scant attention given to the necessary omission of this constituent in certain cases stands out. This fact, in addition to questioning in some way the classification of our language as a pro-drop language, requires a profound study to understand the involved aspects. With this objective, we present a critical review that culminates in a proposal aiming to systematize the factors that prevent subject expression in European Spanish. These factors, linked to the absolute absence of contrast, can be divided into two groups. Firstly, one where certain lexical and grammatical restrictions occur. Secondly, anotherwhere the obligatory omission is caused by discursive reasons. Both groups are related, respectively, to the obligatory existence of an anaphoric pro and a deictic pro. To complete this study, some peculiarities of Caribbean Spanish are analyzed, and the possible application of our proposal in cases of English and German where the subject can be elided is examined.
