El Decreto LIX de 27 de Enero de 1822 supuso la primera constitución oficial de la provincia de Ourense por parte del liberalismo español. La inestabilidad sociopolítica durante el Trienio Liberal, junto con el posterior regreso al absolutismo, no permitió un desarrollo total y pleno de la Diputación Provincial de Ourense establecida a finales de la primavera de 1822. Los estudios sobre sus actuaciones han quedado limitados por la falta de fuentes, pero una revisión y un análisis de otras omitidas hasta ahora nos han permitido ampliar el conocimiento sobre sus actuaciones y construir una primera biografía política de sus miembros.

The LIX Decree of January 27, 1822 was the first official constitution of the province of Ourense by Spanish liberalism. The sociopolitical instability during the Liberal Triennium, together with the subsequent return to absolutism, did not allow a full and complete development of the Provincial Council of Ourense established at the end of the spring of 1822. The few studies on its actions have been limited by the Lack of sources, but a review and analysis of others omitted up to now have allowed us to broaden our knowledge of their actions and build a first political biography of their members.
