Resumen de Iconicidad y diacronía: el tema en /-i/ en griego antiguo

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar la categoría nominal del tema en /-i/ en griego antiguo desde una perspectiva semántica, diacrónica e interlingüística, aplicando los principales avances en materia de categorización, fonoiconicidad, adquisición lingüística y teoría del nombre propio, matizando y desarrollando, frente a trabajos anteriores (Monzó 2016; 2017; 2019), el papel de la iconicidad fonética de [i] en el desarrollo histórico de la categoría. Este enfoque permite constatar la naturaleza originariamente semántica de los antiguos temas nominales griegos y la existencia de una correlación entre el fonema palatal /i/ y la expresión de la afectividad en griego antiguo, clave para entender la emergencia del sufijo /-i/ caracterizador de esta categoría.

The aim of this paper is to present an analysis of the Ancient Greek /i-/stem noun cate-gory from a semantic, diachronic and interlinguistic point of view, employing the main ad-vances in categorization, phonetic iconicity, linguistic acquisition and proper name theory, focusing, unlike other precedent papers (Monzó 2016; 2017; 2019), on the role of phonetic iconicity of [i] in the historical development of the category. This approach shows, as a re-sult, the semantic nature of Ancient Greek noun stems and suggests a close correlation be-tween the palatal phoneme /i/ and the expression of affection in this language, which is understood as the iconic origin of the emergence of the /-i/ suffix, the main morphological feature of the category.
