    Este artículo trata de la amistad entre dos pensadores marxistas relevantes, E. Bloch (1885-1977) y G. Lukács (1885-1971), y de cómo esta amistad influyó en sus obras, especialmente en los escritos de juventud, aunque no dejan de encontrarse ecos de ella en obras de madurez de ambos. Al hilo de este diálogo surge una nueva forma de entender la categoría de “posibilidad” que se contrapone a la categoría clásica de “necesidad histórica”.

    The contents of this paper are the friendship between two important Marxist thinkers, E. Bloch (1885-1977) and G. Lukács (1885-1971), and how this friendship influenced their works, especially the writings of their youth, although echoes of it are still found in their mature works. In the wake of this dialogue, a new way of understanding the category of “possibility” emerges that contrasts with the classical category of “historical necessity.
