    Historia y conciencia de clase inaugura la reflexión sobre la subjetividad en el marxismo, recogiendo, de este modo, las orientaciones que Marx había ido perfilando a lo largo de su obra y abriendo la puerta a posteriores intentos de desarrollo de una teoría del sujeto en el seno del marxismo. A pesar del incuestionable mérito del aporte lukácsiano, sin embargo defenderemos que su aproximación a la subjetividad está teñida del mismo determinismo mecanicista que él reprocha al marxismo contemporáneo.

    History and Class Consciousness inaugurates the reflection on subjectivity in Marxism, gathering, in this way, the orientations that Marx had been outlining throughout his work and opening the door to later attempts to develop a theory of the subject within Marxism. In spite of the unquestionable merit of the Lukácsian contribution, we will nevertheless defend that his approach to subjectivity is tinged with the same mechanistic determinism that he criticizes in the Marxism of his time.
