História e cosmos na Eneida e n’Os Lusíadas

    In this article I investigate the relations between the concepts of history and cosmos in Os Lusíadas and in the Aeneid. My methodology is to review part of the bibliography relevant to the subject and to comparatively analyze passages from both poems. It was possible to conclude that Camões, by emulating Virgil, creates the image of a Portugal identified with the cosmos

    Neste artigo, investigamos a relação entre os conceitos de história e cosmos n’Os Lusíadas e na Eneida. Virgílio. Minha metodologia foi revisar parte de bibliografia pertinente e analisar comparativamente passagens dos dois poemas. Foi possível concluir que Camões, emulando Virgílio, constrói a imagem de um Portugal identificado com o cosmos, em que está o principal argumento épico do poema.
