Resumen de O reconhecimento da mulher nos livros didáticos de Química: uma análise das edições de 2015 e 2018 do PNLD

  In the current scenario of intense debates about the role of women in Science, schools can be an important ally through changes in teaching practice and the use of textbooks. In the 2018 edition of the Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD), a new criteria was inserted aimed at evaluating the prominence of women's contributions to Chemistry. The purpose of this study was evaluate the impact of the new indicator on how citations to female scientists occurred in the collections present in both the 2015 and 2018 editions. The collection that stood out most in terms of the number of citations was evaluated through Content Analysis, which showed an increase in the most prominent citations to scientists through the inclusion of historical elements. Despite meeting new demands, this fact can lead to difficulties in finding records about the achievements of many female scientists.

  No cenário atual de intensos debates sobre o papel da mulher na Ciência, a escola pode ser uma importante aliada através de mudanças na prática docente e no uso dos livros didáticos (LDs). Na edição de 2018 do Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD) foi inserido um novo critério voltado à avaliação do destaque das contribuições da mulher na Química. Nesse sentido, este estudo buscou avaliar o impacto do novo indicador na forma como as citações às mulheres cientistas ocorreram nas coleções comuns às edições de 2015 e 2018. A coletânea que mais se destacou quanto ao número de citações foi avaliada através da Análise de Conteúdo, que evidenciou um aumento das citações de maior destaque às cientistas por meio da inclusão de elementos históricos, fato que, apesar de atender às novas demandas, pode levar a dificuldades em encontrar registros sobre as realizações de muitas cientistas
