    La presente revisión tuvo como objetivo analizar el impacto del cambio climático y su influencia en la salud humana, por lo que se abordaron los brotes de enfermedades causadas por el clima a través de la historia, el comportamiento actual de la problemática y las acciones que se deben considerar para la adaptación y mitigación de efectos adversos. La metodología utilizada fue la búsqueda de literatura publicada entre 2004 y 2020 a través del gestor de búsqueda Google Scholar, donde se analizaron revistas archivadas en PubMed, entre otras. Se empleó una matriz de términos en diversas combinaciones con unos y otros, lo que permitió establecer su relación durante la búsqueda. Con esta revisión se evidenció que el cambio climático continúa afectando la salud humana, impactando su bienestar, adaptabilidad y capacidad de resistencia a futuras amenazas. La modificación de los sistemas naturales favorece la aparición de eventos extremos como huracanes, sunamis, sequías, incendios, inundaciones, trayendo consigo la proliferación de patógenos y vectores, generando enfermedades como el dengue hemorrágico, malaria, aumento de la morbi-mortalidad y la exacerbación de enfermedades emergentes, por lo que se sugiere la gestión integral de residuos, adopción de buenas prácticas en el uso racional de la energía eléctrica, del agua, y la protección y conservación del patrimonio natural.

    The objective of this review was to analyze the impact of climate change and its influence on human health, which is why the outbreaks of diseases caused by climate through history, the current behavior of the problem and the actions taken were addressed. should be considered for adaptation and mitigation of adverse effects. The methodology used was the literature search published between 2004 and 2020 through the Google Scholar search engine, where journals archived in PubMed, among others, were analyzed. A matrix of terms was used in various combinations with each other, which made it possible to establish their relationship during the search. This review showed that climate change continues to affect human health, impacting their well-being, adaptability and ability to resist future threats. The modification of natural systems favors the appearance of extreme events such as hurricanes, sunami, droughts, fires, floods, bringing with it the proliferation of pathogens and vectors, generating diseases such as dengue hemorrhagic fever, malaria, increased morbidity and mortality and exacerbation of emerging diseases, so it is suggested the integral management of waste, adoption of good practices in the rational use of electricity, water, and the protection and conservation of natural heritage.
