Resumen de Capítulo 4. Escrache feminista, punitivismo, y la memoria larga del patriarcado

  El artículo indaga en la reciente ola de denuncias públicas (“escraches” o “funas”) como estrategia adoptada por ciertos feminismos latinoamericanos, y busca aportar a su comprensión y evaluación desde una perspectiva interseccional y antipunitivista. Para ello se recupera y avanza sobre la creciente producción académica latinoamericana sobre el tema, con el fin de analizar la práctica, su trayectoria y objetivos, considerándolos luego críticamente a la luz de las categorías de “punitivismo” y “cultura del c a s t i g o ”. Se argumenta que existe una tensión entre el escrache en tanto respuesta in-mediata y apuntada a un individuo, y la conciencia feminista del patriarca-do en tanto problema estructural marcado por la intersección de múltiples categorías sociales. Frente a este diagnóstico, el artículo ofrece una serie de propuestas desde el marco de la justicia transformadora, destacando la importancia de considerar las dimensiones estructurales y la “memoria larga” del patriarcado

  This paper looks into the recent wave of public callouts (“escraches’’ or “funas”) as a strategy adopted by certain Latin American feminisms, and seeks to contribute to their understanding and assessment from an in-tersectional and anti-punitivist perspective. To this end, it retrieves and builds on the growing Latin American literature on the subject, in order to analyze the practice, its trajectory and aims, and then it considers it critically in the light of the categories of “punitivism” and “punishment culture”. It argues that there is a tension between the adoption of “escra-che” as an immediate response aimed at an individual, and the feminist awareness of patriarchy as a structural problem, marked by the intersec-tion of numerous social categories. Against this inconsistency, the paper offers a series of proposals from the framework of transformative justice, highlighting the importance of considering structural dimensions and the “long memory” of patriarchy
