    El texto analiza cómo Argentina abordó las violaciones masivas de derechos humanos ocurridas durante la dictadura militar mediante un proceso de justicia transicional audaz que inspiró la creación de la disciplina académica de "justicia transicional". Destaca la importancia del Poder Judicial y la evolución de un discurso legal basado en el derecho internacional de los derechos humanos. El texto muestra por qué la Argentina se convirtió en un líder mundial en enjuiciar a perpetradores de crímenes atroces y estableció un nuevo paradigma jurídico en cuanto a las responsabilidades del Estado en las violaciones de derechos humanos. El texto subraya no solo cómo la experiencia argentina influyó en otras democracias de América Latina y tuvo un impacto significativo en la región en términos políticos y jurídicos sino también la importancia de los movimientos sociales y el papel del Poder Judicial en este proceso de cambio
