    Ser madre soltera por decisión propia o por ciertas circunstancias lleva a cumplir algunas responsabilidades en torno a la crianza de los hijos, el manejo del hogar, actividades académicas, laborales entre otras. El objetivo del estudio fue elaborar el cuestionario Estado emocional de las madres solteras y establecer la validez de contenido. El diseño de investigación fue mixto de tipo instrumental con alcance descriptivo y explicativo la misma que se dio en tres fases: construcción del cuestionario, evaluación del cuestionario ítems por ítems realizado por 12 expertos para determinar por un lado la pertinencia, coherencia, suficiencia y claridad y el grado de concordancia con el método estadístico de kappa 3 y el índice de validez de contenido. Entre los resultados. Se obtuvo un cuestionario con 34 ítems con valor de kappa de ,731 estadísticamente significativo al valor ,000 equivalente a un nivel de congruencia aceptable. Un índice de validez de contenido excelente (1). Se puede concluir que las observaciones obtenidas por los expertos mejoro considerablemente el cuestionario y se acerca más a los objetivos de medición con una excelente y perfecta puntuación en la validez del contenido, el mismo que está listo para ser sometido a la segunda parte de validez y fiabilidad estadística por medio de análisis exploratorio y confirmatorio.
