Emilio Carrère: Cronista y guía espiritual en Ruta emocional de Madrid (1935)

    El presente artículo es un comentario de Ruta emocional de Madrid, poemario del escritor madrileño Emilio Carrère (1881-1947), cuya primera edición fue publicada en el año 1935. A través del análisis del texto y de la consulta de otros materiales —de estudios críticos, de autores de su generación, de otras publicaciones del propio Carrère, etc.—, sitúo la obra en su contexto histórico y literario concreto —modernismo, bohemia, el propio autor— e interpreto su contenido, donde concluyo que el poeta ejerce de guía-cronista espiritual (médium) de Madrid a la vez que retrata el ambiente de esta ciudad entre finales del siglo XIX y comienzos del XX.

    Comienzo el trabajo, pues, con unos breves apuntes biográficos, históricos y críticos sobre Emilio Carrère y su vinculación el movimiento bohemio. Después, también escuetamente, comento aspectos de la nueva edición de Ruta emocional de Madrid para luego pasar al análisis de los elementos estilísticos y temáticos de la obra y a las posteriores conclusiones y valoraciones.

    This article focuses on Ruta emocional de Madrid, a poem collection written by the Madrid-born author Emilio Carrere (1881-1947) and published originally in 1935. Through the text analysis and the work on other materials — taken from academic research, contemporary authors to the author, other Carrere’Ss publications, etc.— the collection is set in its proper historical and  literary context – Modernism, bohemia, the author itself — and its content is developed and understood, concluding that the poet is a spiritual (medium) guide and a chronicler of Madrid, at the same time he portraits this city atmosphere at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th.

    The paper starts, with some biography, history and critic notes on Emilio Carrere and his relation with the bohemian movement. After that, some aspects of  the new edition of Ruta emocional de Madrid are traced and then there is the deep analysis of its stylistic thematic that can be found there together with a final conclusion.
