Programa de intervención mediante el counselling para el tratamiento del duelo en aulas de educación infantil

    Hoy en día existe un creciente interés en la formación sobre el tratamiento del duelo infantil;

    tema que ha sido durante mucho tiempo categorizado como tabú o inexistente. En las últimas décadas han aumentado las investigaciones que sostienen la necesidad de involucrar a los niños en los procesos de duelo, permitiéndoles vivir la muerte como parte fundamental de su desarrollo personal. En el ámbito escolar, estos temas no han estado exentos de controversia e incluso se han evitado durante mucho tiempo. Objetivos: El objetivo general es la realización de un programa de formación destinado a docentes de la etapa de Educación Infantil, con la finalidad de ampliar sus conocimientos respecto al tema y adquirir herramientas y estrategias para usar en el aula, teniendo como base de referencia las actitudes y habilidades que se plantean desde el Counselling o relación de ayuda. Metodología: Se realiza una revisión sistemática de la literatura y los conceptos básicos referidos al duelo infantil, al tratamiento de las emociones y a las características del Counselling o relación de ayuda. Conclusiones:

    El duelo en la infancia es una realidad que afecta a muchas personas y es necesario tenerlo en consideración y abordarlo de manera adecuada, pese a su escaso tratamiento o difusión fuera de los ámbitos sanitarios y psicopedagógicos. En este sentido, y, contrariamente a los estudios e investigaciones que promueven cada vez más la inclusión del duelo y el tratamiento de la muerte como algo normalizado en edades tempranas, ha sido frecuente su omisión en ámbitos educativos o familiares.

    Nowadays there is a growing interest in learning about the treatment of child grief; a topic that has long been categorized as taboo or non-existent. In recent decades there has been an increase in research supporting the need to involve children in the grieving process, allowing them to live death as a fundamental part of their personal development. In the school environment, these issues have been di- fficult to deal with and have even been avoided for a long time. In this sense, and as a result of the study of this Master, an intervention proposal is made for teachers in order to train them in child mourning.

    Objective: The general objective is to carry out a training program for teachers, in order to broaden their knowledge on the subject and acquire tools and strategies to use in the classroom, taking as a reference the attitudes and skills that are raised from the Counselling or help relationship. Methodology: we show a review of the literature and the basic concepts referred to child grief, the treatment of emotions and the characteristics of the Counselling or helping relationship. Conclusion: Grief in childhood is a reality that affects many people, and it is necessary to take it into consideration and address it appropriately, despite its limited treatment or dissemination outside the health and psycho-pedagogical fields. In this sense, and contrary to the studies and research that increasingly promote the inclusion of mourning and the treatment of death as something normalized at an early age, its omission in educational or family settings has been frequent.
