  La Catequesis, como el proceso de madurar y de educar en la fe al discípulo misionero por medio de un conocimiento profundo y sistemático del mensaje de Cristo, no está exenta de riesgos; y en ocasiones, la vulnerabilidad de los catecúmenos/catequizandos puede ser explotada. En este contexto, la misión de evangelización se ve amenazada por actos inapropiados que dañan la integridad de las personas, empañan la imagen de la Iglesia, sobre todo, ofenden la misión encomendada por el mismo Cristo. Al mismo tiempo el papel del Catequista es percibido como una persona de referencia que ejerce cierta forma de autoridad; por ello, es imperativo desarrollar y poner en práctica “medidas” (a corto plazo) y “estrategias” (a largo plazo) que aseguren un ambiente protegido y sano en la Catequesis, fortaleciendo no solo la confianza en este proceso formativo, sino también reafirmando el compromiso de ese caminar, en el que se implementan medidas en la Iglesia para el bienestar y seguridad de todos sus fieles, especialmente de los menores y adultos vulnerables.

  Catechesis, as the process of maturing and educating the missionary disciple in the faith through a deep and systematic knowledge of Christ’s message, is not without risks; and at times, the vulnerability of catechumens/catechists can be exploited. In this context, the mission of evangelization can be in danger of inappropriate acts that damage the integrity of persons, tarnish the image of the Church, above all, offend the mission entrusted to her by Christ himself. At the same time, the Catechist is perceived as a person of reference who exercises a certain form of authority; For this reason, it is imperative to develop and implement “measures” (in the short term) and “strategies” (in the long term) that help ensure a protected and healthy environment in catechetical instruction, strengthening not only confidence in this formative process itself, but also reaffirming the commitment to this journey, in which measures are implemented in the Church for the well-being and safety of all the faithful, especially minors and vulnerable adults.
