    En el presente estudio se indaga en la aparición, en textos de los siglos XV y XVI españoles, de un motivo repetido tanto en las novelas de caballería como en buena parte de los relatos folclóricos españoles y europeos, los niños perdidos. La interpretaciónde la realidad y de maravilla o milagro y su relación con la idea de familia y descendencia conforman un tópico largamente repetido.

    In the present study, the appearance of a repeated archetype is investiga-ted both in the novels of cavalry and in many Spanish and European folkloric stories, based on texts from the 15th and 16th centuries: the missing child. The interpretation of reality and wonder or miracle and its relationship with the idea of family and descen-dants make up a long-incomed topic.
