    Se presentan los resultados generales y primeras conclusiones de la vigilancia arqueológica realizada al movimiento de tierras asociado a la reforma integral de la calle Río de Priego de Córdoba y que ha permitido esbozar la evolución histórica del espacio actualmente ocupado por la calzada y el acerado de este importante viario urbano. Bajo esta calle discurre, canalizado, el arroyo que nace en la surgencia kárstica de la Fuente del Rey. Esta singularidad ha marcado el registro arqueológico de su subsuelo desde la Edad Media andalusí, cuando dicho cauce estaba integrado en los arrabales de madīnat Bāguh, hasta la actualidad. Por primera vez se ha podido reconstruir el estado natural del arroyo en torno a los siglos XII-XIII andalusíes.

    The general results and first conclusions of the archaeological surveillance carried out on the movement of land associated with the integral reform of Río street in Priego de Córdoba are presented. These works have allowed us to outline the historical evolution of the space currently occupied by the road and sidewalk of this important urban road. Under this street runs, channelled, the stream that is born in the karstic upwelling of Fuente del Rey. This singularity has marked the archaeological record of its subsoil since the Andalusian Middle Ages, when this channel was integrated into the suburbs of Madīnat Bāguh, up to the present day. For the first time it has been possible to reconstruct the natural state of the stream around the XII-XIII Andalusian centuries.
