El estudio del aprendizaje por diversas ciencias ha generado múltiples concepciones en las que se destacan, sobre todo, las que están inextricablemente unidas a los aspectos cognitivos, metacognitivas, conductuales y motivacionales del ser humano, ya que s e configuran como fundamentales en los procesos de enseñanza aprendizaje. Es por esto que se desarrolla el presente artículo con el propósito de describir el aprendizaje autorregulado desde la teoría sociocognitiva para su fomento en estudiantes universita rios. Cabe destacar que, dicho artículo corresponde a un estudio documental de tipo bibliográfico. En conclusión, se puede decir que el aprendizaje autorregulado representa una vía para que el estudiante, a partir de la percepción de eficacia que tiene de sí mismo, gestione con deliberación, autonomía y eficiencia, acciones y estrategias que lo lleven a reconocer, regular y controlar sus procesos cognitivos, motivaciones y comportamientos, y encausarlos hacia la autoeficacia en el aprendizaje y el buen dese mpeño académico.

For this reason, this article is developed with the purpose of describing self - regulated learning from the socio - cognitive theory for its promotion in university students. It should be noted that this ar ticle corresponds to a bibliographic documentary study. In conclusion, it can be said that self - regulated learning represents a way for the student, from the perception of self - efficacy, to manage with deliberation, autonomy and efficiency, actions and str ategies that lead him to recognize, regulate and control his cognitive processes, motivations and behaviors, and channel them towards self - efficacy in learning and good academic performance .
