Resumen de Columbia Garden: Baltimore's first pleasure garden

David Ritchey

  • In the summer seasons between 1805 and 1807, audiences visited Columbia Garden to dine, to stroll on the lamp‐lighted grounds, and to enjoy the theatrical performances. Columbia Garden provided a setting for the full spectrum of theatrical activities usually associated with eighteenth and early nineteenth‐century pleasure gardens.
