  • Resumen
    • The present project has tried to research the work’s strategies of memorisation in the setting of saxophone elementary education. It has been pretended to know the adequation of them and the possibleimprovements in the development of the student’s training. On the same way, it has been searchedto prove if it’s necessary to carry out a specific methodology applied to the technical characteristics ofsaxophone. For this purpose, a survey has been made destinated to saxophone teachers of academiesand schools of music in Navarra, as well as different interviews to saxophone teachers of professionalconservatories in the region. The results of the surveys have been analysed using a percentage distribution based on quartiles, complement-ed with the input of the teachers’ interviews. We have detecteda lack of systematization of the memory’s work and the necessity of teacher’s formation to deal withspecific students. The mechanisation has been the main strategy of memorisation, although we haveperceived a tendency of technical variety as a mean of learning interpretative elements. The strategiesused in saxophone could be equated with the rest of aeroponic instruments, although we detected thenecessity of a specific methodology oriented to transposing instruments.
