Esta comunicación plantea el museo histórico y su patrimonio cultural y estético como escenario donde elaborar discursos contemporáneos alternativos a la historia única hegemónica, así como lugar deencuentro con relatos de la otredad alejados de las premisas racistas. A partir del estudio de diversasexposiciones de dos artistas se pretende analizar la historicidad del museo como un medio o recursoque completa la obra o favorece lecturas que desaparecen en otros contextos. Para este análisis setiene en cuenta principalmente la obra de Fred Wilson y Yonka Shonibare; artistas racializados quetrabajan con lo decolonial y que han enmarcado determinadas exposiciones de su trayectoria dentrode este marco museístico.

This comunication presents the historical museum and its cultural and aesthetical patrimony as a scenary where contemporary issues and alternative narratives to the unique History can be discussedapart from racists percepts. Studying the exhibitions and oerves of contemporary artists, the objectiveis analizing the historical museum as a mean and resource that completes the artwork and adds newperceptions to it that are not present in other contexts. In doing so, this study focuses on the work ofFred Wilson and Yinka Shonibare. These are artists who work with decolonial ideas and have framedtheir work inside this context along their career
