Resumen de La influencia de las metáforas científicas en nuestra concepción de la Tierra

En su Novum Organum, Bacon presenta el método inductivo a través de la metáfora de la penetración de la naturaleza: el científico debe desflorar la Tierra. Analizaré el recurso a la metáfora desde las teorizaciones generales de Aristóteles, H. Blumenberg, A. Carson y S. Yurkasievich y el análisis específico de las metáforas de género hecho desde la epistemología feminista de S. Harding y E. F. Keller y desde el ecofeminismo y la filosofía de la ciencia de C. Merchant; expondré las críticas de la epistemología baconiana hechas por la Teoría Crítica y M. Heidegger y propondré una serie de desplazamientos que es necesario hacer en las imágenes científicas, rescataré algunas imágenes de la filosofía de la naturaleza de Platón y Marco Aurelio que pueden orientarlos y las entrelazaré con la poesía y las ciencias de la vida. La finalidad es evidenciar una doble necesidad: la de resucitar verdades olvidadas por la racionalidad científica y filosófica moderna y la de entretejer ciencias y humanidades para responder al Antropoceno y evitar la fragmentación total del conocimiento.

In his Novum Organum, Bacon presents the inductive method through the metaphor of the penetration of Nature: the scientist must deflower the Earth. I will analyse the recourse to metaphor from the general theorisations of Aristotle, H. Blumenberg, A. Carson y S. Yurkasievich and the specific analysis of gender metaphors made by the feminist epistemology of S. Harding and E. F. Keller and by the ecofeminism and the philosophy of science of C. Merchant; I will outline the critiques against Baconian epistemology made from Critical Theory and M. Heidegger; I will propose a series of displacements that need to be made in scientific images and I will rescue some images from the philosophy of nature of Plato and Marcus Aurelius that can guide them and I will interweave them with poetry and the life sciences. The aim is to highlight a dual need to resurrect truths forgotten by modern scientific and philosophical rationality and to weave sciences and humanities to respond to the Anthropocene and to avoid the total fragmentation of knowledge.
