Neologismo y diccionario en las columnas sobre la lengua: del siglo XIX al siglo XX

    El objetivo de esta investigación es tra-zar la historia de la presencia del neologismo en lascolumnas sobre la lengua desde finales del siglo XIXhasta principios de la segunda mitad del siglo XXconel fin de determinar la evolución del tratamiento deeste concepto y los vínculos que establece con eldiccionario de la Real Academia Española. Paraello, se han estudiado los textos de Valbuena (1887-1896), Commelerán (1887), Atrián Salas (1887),Álvarez Sereix (1889), Martínez Abellán (1896),Echegaray (1905), Cavia (1922) y Casares (1918,1941, 1944, 1961, 1965), además de la sección «Re-vista de Revistas» de La España Moderna. Los princi-pales resultados del análisis demuestran que, aun-que la crítica al neologismo se concentra en lospréstamos, también afecta a otros tipos de innova-ciones léxicas y que el diccionario es objeto de con-sideraciones muy diferentes, algunas de ellas estre-chamente relacionadas con el neologismo.

    This paper aims to analyze the history ofthe presence of neologism in the language co-lumns from the end of the 19th century to the be-ginning of the second half of the 20th century inorder to settle the evolution of the treatment of thisconcept and the links it sets up with the dictionaryof the Real Academia Española. The texts that ha-ve been studied are Valbuena (1887-1896), Com-melerán (1887), Atrián Salas (1887), Álvarez Sereix(1889), Martínez Abellán (1896), Echegaray (1905),Cavia (1922) and Casares (1918, 1941, 1944, 1961,1965), in addition to the section «Revista de Revis-tas» of La España Moderna. The main results of theanalysis show that, although the criticism of theneologism focuses on linguistic borrowings, it alsoconcerns other types of lexical innovations and thatthe dictionary is the object of very different regards,some of them closely related to the neologism.
