    El romancero que aquí se llamará maurófobo surge como reacción interna frente a la intensidad de la moda morisca, de la que hace burla denunciando tanto sus defectos literarios como sus posibles implicaciones étnicas y religiosas. De si estas se toman más o menos en serio dependerá que valgan para explicar el rápido decaimiento de un género que fue indiscutiblemente hegemónico. Hecho un recorrido por los textos, que se dan listados al final en tabla sinóptica, todo indica que aquellas polémicas no tuvieron mayores pretensiones que el cruce de ingenios.

    The maurophobic romancero is an internal reaction against the Moorish fashion, to denounce both its literary defects and its ethnic and religious implications. Their interpretation will depend on whether they are taken more or less seriously, as well as their validity to explain the decline of a genre that was indisputably hegemonic. In this work I carry out a tour of the texts, which I offer at the end in a table, and I conclude that they are polemics that take advantage of the Moorish fashion.
