    Este trabajo tiene la pretensión de presentar una hermenéutica de las formas políticas como método que haga inteligible el fenómeno político allí donde tiene lugar, es decir, en la historia. Recorreremos sucintamente algunas de las polémicas metodológicas más significativas relativas a la posibilidad del conocimiento histórico efectivo, caracterizadas por la polarización, y sugeriremos la forma política como uno de los modos de superación e integración. No somos los primeros en formular este planteamiento. Los autores que tomamos de referencia para tratar esta cuestión podrían enmarcarse en distintas corrientes del realismo político del siglo XX. Consideramos, sin embargo, necesario ponerlo en valor como prevención contra las posiciones anacrónicas y de incomunicabilidad que todavía abundan en la historiografía contemporánea. Aduciremos a modo de ejemplos, el uso que varios de estos autores han hecho de la forma política en su análisis histórico.

    This work intends to present a hermeneutics of the political form as a method that makes the political phenomenon intelligible in the scenario where it takes place, that is, within history. We will briefl y review some of the most signifi cant methodological controversies that took place around the possibility of eff ective historical knowledge, and that were characterized by polarization, and we will suggest the idea of political form as one of the ways of achieving an overcoming and integration. We are not the fi rst ones to formulate this approach. Th e authors that we take as a reference to deal with this question could be framed within the school of thought of political realism of the 20th century. We consider, however, necessary to remark its value once again, as a precaution against the anachronistic and incommunicable positions that are still abundant in contemporary historiography. We will display as examples, the application made by various of these authors of the political form in their historical analysis.
