El uso de un mecanismo enfático-conectivo en los discursos del expresidente español Adolfo Suárez

    El uso de vocablos, sintagmas y subactos con cuya repetición se pretende conseguir un valor intensificador es frecuente en cualquier tipo de discurso, en especial en el político. Por tanto, su habitual aparición en las intervenciones del expresidente español Adolfo Suárez no deja de ser algo normal. Ya, en dos artículos anteriores (Cortés y Álvarez-Rosa 2020 y 2021), analizamos un mecanismo de repetición, la serie enumerativa, en el citado político. Ahora, en este nuevo trabajo, a partir del mismo corpus, pretendemos un primer acercamiento a otro mecanismo discursivo distinto: un tipo especial de repetición en el que a la función de relieve se añade tanto la condición conectiva de iniciadora de un nuevo acto discursivo como la explicativa de una idea o concepto esencial. Tal polifuncionalidad va a acarrear, por un lado, una cohesión discursiva que incidirá en una mejor fluidez expresiva por parte del hablante y, por otro, la facilitación al oyente de la inteligibilidad de lo dicho al explicitar, mediante la duplicación, el término antecedente. Son estos dos aspectos junto con el relieve de lo dicho los atributos pragmáticos de importante incidencia en la actuación del político. Su uso, por tanto, se distancia de cuestiones que puedan relacionarse con discursos más o menos veraces o más o menos manipulados.

    The use of words, phrases and subacts whose repetition is intended to achieve an intensifying value is frequent in any discourse, especially in politics. Therefore, its regular appearance in the speeches of the Former Spanish President Adolfo Suárez is no less normal. In two previous articles (Cortés & Álvarez-Rosa 2020 and 2021), we analyzed a repetition mechanism, the enumerative series, in the politician mentioned above. Now, in this new work, based on the same corpus, we seek a first approach to a different discursive mechanism: a particular type of repetition in which the function of relief is added both to the connective condition of initiating a new discursive act and to the explanation of an essential idea or concept. Such polyfunctionality will lead, on the one hand, to a discursive cohesion that will affect a better expressive fluency on the part of the speaker and, on the other, the facilitation to the listener the intelligibility of what is said by making explicit, through duplication, the antecedent term. These two aspects and the relief of what has been said are the pragmamtic attributes of significant incidence in the politician's performance. Its use, therefore, distances itself from issues that can be related to more or less truthful or more or less manipulated discourses.
