Resumen de Estudio de la evolución, ceremonial y protocolo de las Cámaras del Parlamento del Reino Unido y las competencias de la Corona

El Parlamento del Reino Unido representa y constituye el órgano legislativo supremo de la nación, tiene su sede en el Palacio de Westminster y está constituido por tres pilares fundamentales: la Corona, la Cámara de los Lores y la Cámara de los Comunes. Se define como una monarquía constitucional y parlamentaria, a la que se le ha dado en llamar “madre de los parlamentos” por su remota antigüedad y ser referente parlamentario para otros países. En el presente estudio analizamos: sus orígenes y los principales factores que han influido en su evolución histórica hasta su configuración actual con su sistema de partidos políticos; la configuración y funcionamiento de cada una de estas instituciones; las peculiaridades y permanencia de sus normas ceremoniales y protocolares a pesar de la evolución social y política del país; las relaciones y preeminencia que existen entre dichas instituciones en el marco de la actividad legislativa; y el significado de las competencias de la Corona dentro del ámbito gubernamental parlamentario.

The Parliament of the United Kingdom represents and constitutes the supreme legislative body of the nation, it is based in the Palace of Westminster and is made up of three fundamental pillars: the Crown, the House of Lords and the House of Commons. It is defined as a constitutional and parliamentary monarchy, which has been called the "mother of parliaments" due to its remote antiquity and being a parliamentary reference for other countries. In the present study we analyze: its origins and the main factors that have influenced its historical evolution up to its current configuration with its system of political parties; the configuration and operation of each of these institutions; the peculiarities and permanence of its ceremonial and protocol norms despite the social and political evolution of the country; the relationships and pre-eminence that exist between said institutions in the framework of legislative activity; and the meaning of the powers of the Crown within the parliamentary governmental sphere.
