Resumen de Estudio sociolingüístico sobre la evolución lingüística de los cantantes andaluces: el caso de Pablo Alborán

  En esta investigación llevaremos a cabo un estudio sociolingüístico sobre la variación lingüística de un hablante andaluz concreto: Pablo Alborán. Por un lado, analizaremos la posible evolución lingüística del cantautor malagueño y, por otro, observaremos su comportamiento lingüístico según el contexto en el que se encuentre sumergido. Cabe destacar que, debido a motivos estrictamente personales y profesionales, nos encontramos ante un hablante andaluz plenamente integrado en una comunidad de habla que presenta una solución lingüística diferente a la suya propia y que, además, es considerada como la prestigiosa. La metodología de nuestro estudio consiste en la elaboración de un corpus oral basado en distintas situaciones lingüísticas, seleccionando dos roles muy diferentes (cantante y entrevistado) y empleando diversas variables lingüísticas, exclusivamente fonéticas (/s/; /x/; /st/), y extralingüísticas (tipo de discurso; etapa artística) con sus respectivas variantes. Los resultados alcanzados nos permitirán comprobar si existe una evolución lingüística en el habla del cantante malagueño aplicada a diferentes contextos lingüísticos y extralingüísticos relacionados con su –ya bastante extensa– carrera musical. Asimismo, podremos observar hasta qué punto emplea las variantes regionales propias del español hablado en Andalucía o si, de lo contrario, se inclina más hacia el español estándar asociado, principalmente, al centro-norte peninsular. No obstante, y teniendo en cuenta el análisis íntegro de los datos de nuestro estudio, adelantamos que Pablo Alborán opta casi siempre por la variante prestigiosa del español, alejándose, así, de su propia variedad lingüística que se corresponde la variante meridional del idioma español. Sin embargo, apreciamos algunas excepciones y rasgos más propios de las hablas andaluzas en su penúltimo álbum musical, titulado Vértigo, donde se muestra mucho más libre, dado que en dicho trabajo musical se olvida de todos los estereotipos lingüísticos o extralingüísticos y únicamente se deja llevar por sus sentimientos y por su pasión por la música.

  This research presents a sociolinguistic study on the linguistic variation of a particular Andalusian speaker: Pablo Alborán. On one hand, we will analyze the potential linguistic evolution of the singer-songwriter from Málaga; on the other hand, we will observe his linguistic behavior based on the context in which he is immersed. It should be noted that, due to strictly personal and professional reasons, we are dealing with an Andalusian speaker who is fully integrated in a community that presents a different linguistic solution from his own one and that, furthermore, it is considered the prestigious one. The methodology of our study consists of the elaboration of an oral corpus based on different linguistic situations, selecting two very contrastive roles (singer and interviewee), and using diverse linguistic, exclusively phonetics (/s/; /x/; /st/), and extralinguistic (type of speech; artistic stage) variables with their respective variants. Our results will allow us to verify if there is a linguistic evolution in Pablo ́s speech applied to different linguistic and extralinguistic con-texts related to his –already quite extensive– musical career. In addition, we will be able to observe if he uses the regional variants of the Andalusian Spanish or if he, on the contrary, uses more often the standard Spanish mainly associated with the north-central peninsula. However, and taking into account the complete analysis of the data from our study, we anti-cipate that the singer Pablo Alborán almost always opts for the prestigious variant of Spanish. This implies that he moves away from his own linguistic variety which corresponds to the southern variant of the Spanish language. Nevertheless, we appreciate some exceptions and typical features of the Spanish spoken in Andalusia in his second last album, titledVértigo. Alborán is much more free inVértigosince, in this music album, he neglects all the linguistic or extralinguistic stereotypes and he only gets carried away by his feelings and his passion for music.
