    Torio está ubicado al Sur de la provincia de Veraguas, cuenta con una riqueza natural singular, permitiendo que se desarrolle un verdadero turismo alternativo. En este sentido, sus paisajes son imponentes, montañas, cascadas, quebradas, río y playa, donde se puede realizar actividades amigables con el ambiente y generar ingresos a la comunidad, al igual que mejoras a la calidad de vida de sus moradores. La población de Torio es de 256 personas aproximadamente, se dedican a las actividades agrícolas, pesca artesanal y exposición y venta de productos en los últimos 5 años se ha observado un incremento en lugares de hospedaje para turistas, algunos moradores se han organizado desde su casa para ofrecer alimentos a los visitantes que llegan a la playa en busca de un buen pescado frito con patacones, también ofrecen baños y agua para enjuagarse el agua salada y la arena, así retornar frescos a sus hogares. Las nuevas tendencias del Turismo Alternativo en Torio, permiten que el turista se interese en visitar este lugar, en especial por los recorridos en los diferentes senderos hacia las cascadas, organizadas en pequeños grupos y espaciadas en tiempo, a fin de conservar el ambiente, podemos resaltar además el vuelo en parapente, una actividad de turismo de aventura realizada en forma segura y organizada, también aporta al turismo alternativo, paseos a caballos por orilla de la playa o por los ríos, venta de productos artesanales confeccionados por los moradores y venta de comida criolla panameña.

    Torio is located in the south of the province of Veraguas, it has a unique natural wealth, allowing the development of a true alternative tourism. In this sense, its landscapes are impressive: mountains, waterfalls, ravines, rivers, and beaches, where you can carry out environmentally friendly activities and generate income for the community, as well as improvements in the quality of life of its residents.
