El incumplimiento terapéutico representa un problema importante en la práctica clínica diaria tanto por su frecuencia como por su repercusión en los resultados obtenidos a través del tratamiento. El abordaje del mismo es complejo y las evidencias disponibles no permiten afi rmar con rotundidad qué intervenciones mejoraran las tasas de incumplimiento. No obstante, los mejores resultados se han obtenido con intervenciones encaminadas a simplifi car el tratamiento, implicar a la familia, refuerzos conductuales y con la combinación de intervenciones.

The failure to complete therapeutics, represents an important problem in the daily clinic practice, such as by their frequency how by their effect for the obtained results following treatment. Its management is complex and the existing evidences doesn’t make it possible to affi rm closely what interventions would increase fulfi lment rates. However, the best results have been obtained with direct interventions to simplify the treatment, involving the family, re-inforcing behaviour and by combination of interventions.
