El jurista aragonés Diego Vincencio de Vidania elaboró, en la temprana y agitada fecha de 1712, un singular manifiesto, redactado en castellano, con el que intentó acercar el Derecho natural racionalista protestante postulado por los hermanos Hugo y Guillermo Grocio al pensamiento iusfilosófico español, adaptando algunos de sus presupuestos, y en especial su método, a la tradición jurídica católica española, bajo el correspondiente filtro de su propia formación jurídica, filosófica y religiosa. El manuscrito, dividido en veinte capítulos, tenía como objeto preferente ofrecer una visión general del Derecho natural, tanto de su concepto como de sus principios constitutivos, analizando igualmente los efectos que su aplicación podía provocar sobre algunas figuras e instituciones del Derecho positivo.

The Aragonese jurist Diego Vincencio de Vidania drafted a singular manifesto in the early and agitated date of 1712, written in Spanish, with which he attempted to bring the Protestant rationalist Natural Law postulated by the brothers Hugo and Guillermo Grotius closer to Spanish legal philosophical thought, trying to adapt some of its assumptions, and especially its method, to the Spanish Catholic legal tradition, under the corresponding filter of his own legal, philosophical and religious training. The manuscript, divided into twenty chapters, had as its main objective to try out a synthesis of both the concept of Natural Law and its constituent principles, also analysing the effects that its application could have on some figures and institutions of Positive Law.
