Resumen de Propuesta metodológica para el estudio del papel desempeñado por Martín Morúa Delgado a favor de la integración nacional en Cuba

El presente artículo establece una propuesta metodológica para estudiar la figura de Martín Morúa Delgado a favor de la integración nacional en Cuba, en su fecunda vida desde 1879 hasta su fallecimiento en 1910. Se justifican las razones que conducen al análisis de esta personalidad de la historia de Cuba, quien además de ser un independentista fue un notable intelectual durante el tránsito de los siglos XIX al XX. Se aborda como la historiografía en la Mayor de las Antillas y fuera de ella ha tratado a Martín Morúa Delgado y se plantea cuál es la brecha epistemológica en su desempeño social que aún permanece presente, y que se necesita cubrir a partir de una investigación de rigor.

This article establishes a methodological proposal to study the figure of Martín Morúa Delgado in favor of national integration in Cuba, in his fruitful life from 1879 until his death in 1910. The reasons that lead to the analysis of this personality of the history of Cuba, who in addition to being an independentist was a notable intellectual during the transition from the 19th to the 20th centuries. It is approached as the historiography in the Greater Antilles and outside of it has treated Martín Morúa Delgado and it is raised what is the epistemological gap in his social performance that still remains present, and that needs to be covered from a rigorous investigation.
