Resumen de Comportamiento de la producción de café en cuatro sistemas cafetaleros de Guamá, Santiago de Cuba, Cuba

  El cultivo del café (Coffea spp.) es un renglón importante en la economía del país, de ahí la necesidad de realizar investigaciones sistemáticas que analicen como se van cumpliendo los planes económicos-productivos como basamento para la toma de decisiones. El trabajo tuvo como objetivo valorar el comportamiento de la producción de la café en cuatro ecosistemas cafetaleros del municipio Guamá, Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. Se visitaron siete sistemas productivos y se seleccionaron los cuatro que cumplieron con todos los criterios de inclusión. Para valorar el comportamiento de las producciones y su valor monetario, se realizó un análisis de los informes emitidos por la Empresa Agroforestal del municipio Guamá de las campañas 2012-2013 hasta la de 2017-2018 (Cuba. Ministerio de la Agricultura, 2018b). Las producciones mostraron una disminución, tanto en los ecosistemas estudiados como de una temporada a la otra y, aunque existe un incremento del valor monetario, este está relacionado con el aumento de los precios pagados por unidades del producto una vez beneficiado. Entre los factores que contribuyeron al comportamiento de estos resultados están los relacionados con la calidad del cultivo y todos los indicadores que la determinan, así como, las afectaciones por plagas.Palabras clave:Calidad, Coffea, rendimiento, sostenibilidad, valor monetario.

  The cultivation of coffee (Coffea spp.) is an important line in the country's economy, hence the need to carry out systematic investigations that analyze how economic-productive plans are being fulfilled as a basis for decision-making. The objective of the work was to assess the behavior of coffee production in four coffee ecosystems of the Guamá municipality, Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. Seven production systems were visited and the four that met all the inclusion criteria were selected. To assess the behavior of the productions and their monetary value, an analysis was carried out of the reports issued by the Agroforestry Company of the Guamá municipality from the 2012-2013 to 2017-2018 campaigns. The productions showed a decrease, both in the ecosystems studied and from one season to the other and, although there is an increase in the monetary value, this is related to the increase in the prices paid for units of the product once benefited. Among the factors that contributed to the performance of these results are those related to the quality of the crop and all the indicators that determine it, as well as the effects of pests.Keywords:Coffea, monetary value, performance, quality, sustainability.
