  La violencia de género sigue siendo una de las explicaciones más claras de la desigualdad, además subordinación y de superioridad de los hombres sobre las mujeres, consideran que tienen mayores habilidades, conocimiento e inteligencia, haciendo a un lado lo que las mujeres pueden aportar o ayudar en el ámbito laboral o en la sociedad en general; la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo identificar los factores que inciden en la violencia de género en el ámbito laboral en el GAD del Cantón Esmeraldas, para ello se realizó un trabajo científico en base al método cuantitativo que servirá para identificar las causas que provoca este tipo de violencia, que parte de la técnica de recolección de datos, mediante la plataforma Forms a un grupo de trabajadoras de diferentes áreas del GAD del Cantón de Esmeraldas; los resultados obtenidos evidenciaron que existe un porcentaje de superioridad, comportamiento degradante y conducta patriarcal por parte del género masculino hacia las mujeres en el área laboral.
