Resumen de La memòria al fr. 4 d’Herinna i al fr. 94 de Safo

Tot i que no podem negar la relació d’influència, inspiració o intertextualitat que s’ha assenyalat a propòsit de l’obra de Safo i Herinna, sí que podem afirmar que no és tan estreta com alguns la varen plantejar. Presentem aquí l’estudi d’un element temàtic i retòric que és present en dos fragments d’aquestes autores, i que ha portat diversos autors, sobretot Rauk (1989) i Rayor (2005), a llegir-los de manera paral·lela, tot interpretant-los, si no conjuntament, sí de manera complementària a partir d’un element comú que semblen individuar en totes dues autores. Ens referim a la memòria, que apareix en ambdós poemes de manera directa en forma de flashback i que és invocada explícitament. Aquests estudis defensen un seguit de plantejaments que generalment han estat acceptats, però que, segons les noves edicions comentades d’Herinna (2003) i Safo (2017 i 2021), haurien de ser revisats i amb algunes arestes que s’haurien de perfilar i matisar.

While we cannot deny the relationship of influence, inspiration, or intertextuality that has been described between the work of Sappho and Herinna, we can say that it is not as close as some once suggested. We present here the study of a thematic and rhetorical element that is present in two fragments by these authors, and that has led several authors, especially Rauk (1989) and Rayor (2005), to read them as parallels, not interpreting them together, but in a complementary way from a common element that they seem to identify in both authors. We are referring to memory, which appears in both poems directly in the form of a flashback and is explicitly invoked. These studies support a series of approaches that have generally been accepted but which, according to the new annotated editions of Herinna (2003) and Sappho (2017 and 2021), should be reviewed with some aspects left to expand on and better outline.
